This is an educational program aimed at providing the competencies of sheet metal workers.

Sheet Metal Worker: A person who produces, shapes, and installs some parts of items such as tables, cabinets, commercial kitchens, bathroom boilers, water tanks, stoves, and exhaust fans from metal sheets like sheet metal and tin.

Responsibilities;

• Reviews work projects and assembly drawings, prepares the list of materials required for the work, places orders, plans the execution of the work, and selects the metal to be used,
• Takes measurements according to the drawing (project), marks according to the layout, cuts appropriately, shapes the metal by bending as needed, and drills holes using a drill or punch,
• Joins parts by welding, soldering, bolts, riveting, or other metals and smooths their surfaces,
• Prevents deformation of the metal and applies technical rules by taking necessary precautions to ensure durability, opens welding edges, flash, and reinforcement locations,
• Performs maintenance and repair of devices and equipment used when necessary.

Person Holding This Certificate;

•    Draws technical drawings according to standards and rules.
•    Performs basic cold forming and soldering, basic hot forming, basic oxy-gas welding in a horizontal position, oxygen cutting, basic electric arc welding, and electric resistance welding.
•    Adjusts package programs, selects planes, creates solid models, performs assembly modeling, transfers and draws solid models into technical drawings.
•    Builds electrical circuits, performs measurement, connects electrical installations, and controls asynchronous motors.
•    Shapes metals on machines and cold forming molds, produces serial work molds, manufactures steel goods using these molds, and embosses sheet metals.
•    Performs positional welding with oxy-gas welding, hard soldering, and welding of non-ferrous materials.
•    Performs various filler and positional welding with electric arc welding and welding using MIG-MAG welding technique.
•    Cleans metal surfaces, protects metal surfaces after cleaning, and ensures good appearance.
•    Performs cutting and bending on NC and CNC machines.
•    Performs embossing or spreading of metals by different methods.

Where Do They Work?

Works in workshops during the production phase and on buildings during the installation phase.
The sheet metal profession is developing in parallel with new technological advancements.
Iron formwork, newly introduced in construction, and rapidly developing solar water heating systems in our country indicate that the profession will offer more work opportunities in the future.

Certification

Participants who successfully complete the training will be awarded, optionally, an internationally recognized certificate by IATELS (International Association for Technology, Education and Language Studies) or a certificate with the Asilzade Education logo.

Additionally, upon request;

Certificate approved by the Council of Europe (British Educational Affairs),

ICCW (International Certification Center Of The World) certificate,

and e-Government and university-approved certificates will also be offered for an additional fee.
